Macau continues to promote itself as a leisure and business tourism destination and more international 5-star deluxe hotel brands are slated to open in the coming years, raising the total hotel capacity by 20,000 new rooms.

The Asian food retail market will account for 41% of the world market by 2020 and China will become the world’s second-largest food market, equivalent to 82% of the size of the US market. Pearl River Delta (PRD), comprised of 9 cities including Hong Kong, Macau, Guangzhou, Dongguan, Shenzhen and etc., is roughly equivalent to the size of California. This is the powerhouse of China with GDP forecast to reach US$ 585.5 billion.
